Welcome to Lynxi ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

By downloading or using Lynxi, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We prioritize data minimization. We currently do not require you to create an account to use the App. We process the following types of data to provide our services:

A. Image Data (Camera and Photos)

• What we collect: To use the visual search feature, you provide us with images taken via your device's camera or selected from your photo library.
• How we use it: These images are transmitted securely to our AI service provider (Google Vertex AI) solely for the purpose of analyzing the image to identify products and extract text.
• Storage: We do not permanently store your photos on our servers. Images are processed transiently; once the analysis is complete and the search results are returned, the image data is discarded from our processing pipeline.

B. Text Queries

We collect the text queries you type into the search bar to fetch product results and price comparisons.

C. Usage and Device Data (Anonymous)

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous data about how you use the App. This includes:

• Device attributes (model, OS version).
• Crash reports (to help us fix bugs).
• Interaction metrics (e.g., number of searches performed, screens viewed).

This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

D. Subscription and Purchase Data

• Payment Processing: All financial transactions are handled directly by Apple (App Store). We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card information or billing address.
• Subscription Management: We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage subscription status and validate your purchase receipts. RevenueCat receives an anonymous App User ID and data related to your specific purchase (e.g., expiration date, product ID) to unlock the premium features on your device.

E. Marketing and Attribution Data

We use Apple's AdServices framework in conjunction with RevenueCat to attribute app installations to Apple Search Ads campaigns. This allows us to understand which ads led to a download. This data is used solely for attribution and does not track your activity across other companies' apps or websites.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide the Service: Identifying products via AI and finding prices based on your inputs.
• To manage your Subscription: Verifying via RevenueCat that you have a valid active subscription.
• To improve the App: Analyzing crash reports and usage trends to fix stability issues and enhance user experience.
• To enforce Terms: Ensuring usage limits (e.g., free tier limits) are respected.

4. DATA SHARING AND THIRD PARTIES

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate the App:

• Google Cloud (Vertex AI / Gemini): Processes image and text queries to generate search results.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: Processes anonymous usage and crash data.
• RevenueCat: Processes purchase receipt data to manage subscription entitlements and analyzes attribution data from Apple Search Ads to measure marketing effectiveness.
• Affiliate Partners: If you click on a product link (e.g., to Amazon or Mercado Libre), you are redirected to a third-party site. These sites may place cookies on your device to track the referral. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party retailers.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.

5. DATA RETENTION

• Images: Deleted immediately after processing.
• Search History: Saved locally on your device for your convenience. You can clear this history within the App settings.
• Analytics Data: Retained for a limited period as defined by Google Analytics policies to analyze trends.

6. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Lynxi is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location (including users in Mexico), you may have certain rights regarding your data:

• Access and Deletion: Since we do not use user accounts, we do not hold personal data linked to your identity (name, email). You can delete the App to remove all locally stored data.
• Opt-out: You can opt-out of analytics collection through your iOS device settings (Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements).

8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your information may be transferred to and processed on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction (such as Google Cloud servers in the US) where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of those changes.
